Refund Policy

At CloseBike, we stand behind the quality of our engineering. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, our refund policy is designed to be transparent and fair, ensuring you can shop with the same confidence you feel on the trail.


1. Refund Eligibility

To be eligible for a refund, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • The 30-Day Window: Refund requests must be initiated within 30 days of the delivery date.

  • Item Condition: Components, forks, and frames must be in their original packaging and show no signs of installation or use.

  • Bicycle Condition: Full bicycles must be in "like-new" condition. While we allow for a brief test ride on clean pavement to verify fit, we cannot offer full refunds for bikes with trail dirt, tire wear, or frame scratches.

2. Non-Refundable Items

  • Shipping Fees: Original shipping charges on orders under $300 are non-refundable.

  • Service Fees: Fees for custom assembly or expedited handling are non-refundable.

  • Final Sale: Any items marked as "Final Sale" or "Outlet" at the time of purchase are ineligible for return or refund.

3. Processing Your Refund

Once your return is received at our facility, our mechanics will perform a professional inspection:

  • Inspection Period: Please allow 3–5 business days for our team to verify the condition of the returned gear.

  • Approval: Upon approval, we will initiate a credit to your original payment method.

  • Posting Time: Depending on your financial institution, refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days.

4. Restocking Fees

To maintain our "Direct-to-Rider" pricing, certain returns are subject to a restocking fee to cover the cost of professional inspection and repackaging:

  • Components & Forks: $0 Restocking Fee.

  • Frames & Full Bicycles: 10% Restocking Fee.


How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact Us: Email support@closebike.com with your order number to receive your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

  2. Pack: Secure the item in its original reinforced packaging to prevent transit damage.

  3. Ship: Use the provided pre-paid label (for frames and bikes) or ship via your preferred carrier for small parts.
